Omenski commits to Central Oklahoma
Senior offensive lineman is set to continue his football career at one of the best Division II programs in the country

Senior offensive lineman Will Omenski announced where he will be playing college football on Sunday.
Omenski, one of this season’s captains, announced on social media platforms that he has committed to the University of Central Oklahoma — a top-15 Division II program.
“After great conversations with my family, friends, coaches and (UCO assistant offensive line coach) Jarren Hightower, I’m excited to announce I am verbally committing to the University of Central Oklahoma,” Omenski wrote.
Central Oklahoma was one of the first programs to offer Omenski after his stellar junior campaign last year in which he didn’t allow a single sack.
Omenski has been solid this season as he has provided a sense of security on the left side of Alexander’s offensive line. He should be in contention for Offensive Lineman of the Year in District 30-6A this year.
“It is really cool to have the opportunity to play in college, especially one that’s really close to home for me — two hours away from my birthplace of Wichita, Kansas,” Omenski told the Bulldog Republic. “It means a lot to also have the people who’ve helped me get to this point. All the coaches that have helped me become the player I am today, my parents for always pushing me and giving me opportunities to improve, and especially coach (Mike) Vigil for helping me with my recruiting, without them I don’t think any of this would’ve been possible.”
Central Oklahoma, which competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association, is currently 6-0 this season and is ranked in the top-15 in Division II. The MIAA is considered the SEC of Division II conferences.
Omenski is just one of the latest Alexander football players set to compete at the next level as defensive end Jorge Alvarado, offensive lineman Javier Pulido and safety Dylan Ethridge signed with the University of Texas-Rio Grande, Blinn College and Allan Hancock College, respectively, last school year.
